How to Update Your NewTek Product

NewTek workflow expert Kane Peterson takes you through the steps to locate and download updates for your NewTek products.
The video covers the steps very thoroughly, and with lots of tips and tricks to help you manage not only how to update your system, but how to ensure your ability to quickly re-install your software in the event of a problem.
Kane begins with how to find the model number and software version number of your product for complete production systems like TriCaster®, 3Play®, and NewTek IP Series and for production peripherals such as TalkShow®.
For production systems, the Home screen is the key. This may be either a stack of buttons, or a ring or buttons that you rotate to get to the option you wish to use. In either case, Help is the option you need. This will display a menu on the right, and the About option from that menu is what you need.
For products such as TalkShow, which open directly into the UI rather than to a Home screen, check for the “Globe” icon on the right side of the top bar.
