Tim Jenison at NAB 2018

April 25, 2018 by Chuck Baker

NewTek Founder Tim Jenison reminisces about NewTek’s first NAB 30 years ago in this interview by Rex Olson on NDICentral Live at NAB 2018.  NewTek’s history in building computer-based live production systems ultimately led to the development of NDI® whose rapid and industry wide adoption at NAB 2018 was undeniable. Tim summed up NDI in the way only he can:

“It’s like the world’s largest routing switcher, without a routing switcher…”

Tim also shares his latest adventures exploring the possible use of optical systems as tools by past artists such as Vermeer and others, and how art history happened to intersect with his knowledge of video production technology, and the science behind human vision.

Enjoy!
