BC Live Drives VidCon 2017 Live Stream Show with NDI®

VidCon is the annual major YouTuber convention and shares the fun with the world via the VidCon Live streaming show from the convention floor. LA-based BC Live, partnered with Ego 360, produced VidCon Live again for the 2017 convention; owner Brett Collins shares the behind-the-scenes story about the new technologies used this year for the live production, and how they were able to bring viewers more of the excitement without the complications and cost that would have come with the older tech.
NewTek’s new IP-based integrated multi-camera production system TriCaster® TC1 was front and center in the production’s master control room, with NewTek’s NDI® media-over-IP bringing in video sources from all over the convention floor via the Ethernet infrastructure. This eliminated the expense and labor involved in running traditional dedicated video and audio cabling throughout the halls and removing it when done with the event.
